Please be aware we are following state guidance and taking the following precautions to protect everyone in response to COVID-19:
Boarding and sailing is all done entirely outside in the open air; you never have to go inside. We will try to arrange seating so that you sit with people from your own group. If you are unhappy with the arrangement presented, you are welcome to decline to go out on that sail and receive a full refund.
If the booth is not staffed, a crew member will open the gate for boarding ten minutes before departure and lead you to the schooner. There is a prominent Schooner Eastwind Boarding sign in the Fisherman's Wharf Inn parking lot, to the right of and behind the Eastwind ticket booth.
You are welcome to wear a mask aboard, but it is not required.
We do not have a shared cooler onboard, but you are welcome to bring your own food and drink.
Please bring your own blanket, coat, or rain jacket, as well as a hat and/or sunscreen, according to the weather conditions. It can get chilly out on the water, even when it is hot onshore, so brining a windbreaker and a layer is always recommended.
Please use a bathroom onshore before boarding as the bathroom on the boat is downstairs and for emergency use only. There are public bathrooms in the harbor-side park known as the "Whale Park", which is directly adjacent to the parking lot where our booth is located.
Please turn off cell phones before we leave the dock. We are trying to create a peaceful and serene escape out on the water. The captain and crew are happy to answer questions both during the trip and when the trip is over.
Tips are neither expected nor required, but they are appreciated by crew members. If and only if you feel like leaving a tip, please leave it underneath your cushion, which will be sanitized between trips, when you leave. This will be awkward, but free your mind of worry about how you would do this if you want to maintain physical distancing.
Please see our online calendar for our anticipated upcoming schedule or return to the home page.
As always, we are open to suggestions on how to make the trips safer and more enjoyable for everyone under the current conditions.
Per our COVID-19 policy, if you are unsatisfied with seating arrangements when you arrive, you can decline to go out and we will refund you in full. Otherwise, please cancel 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund. We cannot provide refunds for no-shows because we reserve seats for people with reservations and do not overbook.
Please feel free to bring anything you wish for food and drink including wine, cheese, etc. We do not sell anything onboard.
Smoking or vaping is not permitted on the docks or aboard ship. Please bring only trained service animals aboard.
Please silence cell phones upon boarding so everyone can enjoy a peaceful escape out on the water.
